Reflections are lies we sell ourselves.
We measure our happiness and our success by reflecting on those we are surrounded by.
Comparative creatures are we.
Scrutiny of our selves begins and ends in our ape like hierarchy.
Our lives are filled or empty depending on our comparisons.
Rich or poor as those we measure against.
If we were alone on an island, how would we rationalize our emotions?
How would we know if we were triumphant?
Would we be fat or thin? Would we be pretty or ugly, if we had no one to measure to?
Be the singular, be the you on the island of your life, shed mirages that aren't.
Be the maverick...
